How are we making a difference?
We aim to make a difference to the health of people living locally. The focus of our work is on three principles:
- Improving prevention and wellbeing for all residents of Newcastle;
- Delivering care closer to home, and;
- Joining up care services across the city.
These are big ambitions and we will not be able to change everything in the way we want overnight. We also need to involve you and the communities we serve, in planning all we hope to achieve.
Whatever we do we will be:
- genuinely centred on patients and carers
- focussed on quality and outcomes
- aiming for safe care and the highest possible standards
- striving to reduce inequalities in health
- working hard to end discrimination
- giving the public a greater say in how the NHS is run
